The duo formed by the brothers Ariel Sima and Diego Sima celebrate their 20th anniversary
with the release of their new album entitled "Farmacia", released by
the Wraith Productions label.
Ariel Sima: synthesizers, computer, sampler, programming, trumpet, choir, piano, guitar.
Diego Sima: voice.
This album was recorded quite quickly: we used effects on the voices in order to make a difference from the ones we have been using so far.
Several songs have been recorded very differently, we took advantage of the tools
offered by the recording studio. There are themes that are composed from improvisation
and by using the "cut and paste" method.
We have been working in this process little by little on the previous album "La sangre del sol y la luna coagulada"
Musically speaking, this is our darkest album despite the theme “Hambriento de amor”, which we have to confess, is truly pop.
The artist Val Denham collaborates on "Decidimos hablar" (synthesizers and drums).
We also recorded several albums with Val. She not only paints and makes music but also designed album artwork for Marc Almond, Throbbing Gristle, Psychic TV among others.
In 2019 the album Val Denham + Farmacia "The devil knows your name now" was released on the German label Psychofon Records who has released The Residents among others.
Sebastián Rodriguez Porto (former Farmacia member) participated on "El núcleo de la tierra", "Todo parece estar perfecto",
"Veo el sol" (synthesizers, bass and guitar).
On this album we also have the participation of the legendary industrial musician
Monte Cazazza on 3 tracks "ADN", "Quiero entender", "Signos de amor" (synthesizers and drums), who with we had already composed a song together called "Libero mi alma". This song has its video clip and is on our album "La sangre del sol y la luna coagulada".
The cover art of the new album was made by Diego Sima, with photos by Manuel Wolfson and Ariel Sima.
